Polished Pink Nails
New business Polished Pink Nails popped in to our studio last month for some commercial shots for their brand new website www.polishedpink.co.uk. Offering a new type of nailwear, Minx Nail Armour, the Polished Pink ladies wanted to demonstrate to their prospective clients exactly how versatile and eye-catching their nails could be.
The shoot brief was to produce shots that encompassed the true seasonality and versatility of the nail products. The ladies dressed for the occasion, donning Rock Chick attire for the ultra-modern nails, and floral beachwear for the classy metallic option.
The pictures truly demonstrated the diversity of the product and exemplified the situations in which the clients would wear them. Jenny Brewer, Owner of Polished Pink Nails, was so pleased with the images, she even provided S72 with a testimonial – thanks Jenny.

Telford photographer, Andrew Homer creates a diverse model portfolio for budding model, Helen Walker.
Shropshire model, Helen Walker, visited Studio72 this month to update her existing model portfolio. Using a creative mix of lighting effects and post-production techniques, Andrew Homer, Studio72’s Head Photographer, was able to create a plethora of unique images for Helen to incorporate into her portfolio.
Andrew ensures that a number of different looks are created when shooting a model portfolio. By incorporating studio and on-location photography with modern lighting effects and airbrushing techniques, Studio72’s photographers are able to produce images that showcase the natural talent of the model. This is essential for showing the diverse nature of the model and can ultimately be the decisive factor in whether a model is cast for a shoot!
Helen said ‘I cannot praise Studio72 enough. As a novice model, I was unsure of what to expect when I went along for my photo session. Andy was extremely welcoming and put me right at ease. Nothing was too much trouble – he listened carefully to my requirements and made the shoot really fun! I have a portfolio of amazing images and can’t wait to go to a casting so that I can show it off! I will be recommending Studio72 to all of my friends and family.’

Serving up a treat in Ironbridge…Photographer Andrew Homer’s latest assignment takes him to the delights of Da Vinci’s restaurant on the picturesque streets of Ironbridge.
Da Vinci’s restaurant, owned and run by David and Nadia, is a well-established and much-loved Italian restaurant in the heart of Ironbridge. Da Vinci’s were looking for professional food and restaurant interior shots for their newly designed website and for use on marketing material and asked Studio72 to undertake the task.
Food photography is fast-paced, must be precise and attention to detail is of paramount importance. The image captured must be aesthetically pleasing, with the textures and vibrant colours on the page being a true reflection of the dish itself.
Andrew and Nadia agreed that the shoot should take place on-location at the restaurant with hard and soft lighting being used to emulate Da Vinci’s own unique atmosphere. The dishes were lovingly created by Nadia and swiftly photographed by Andrew, creating a large portfolio of stunning images – you can view a selection of these in our Commercial Gallery.
Thanks to Nadia and Dave for choosing Studio72 to photograph Da Vinci’s masterpieces!
